Pipe quench and temper line process requirement and mechanical running
At present, seeing from the status of steel pipe enterprises rapid development: with the rapid increase in pipe processing technology, steel pipe quench and temper is the best way to increase the added value at the current stage. The following is the basic configuration of steel pipe quench and temper line, and the quenching process is ”rotation + outside shower + inside spraying”, as well as the actual work of the various components.
China’s steel pipe production technology and equipment rapid increase level began in the 20th century, 80 years. Water quenching device is accompanied with the development of seamless steel pipe and the emergence of new equipment, mainly for pipe heat treatment line. Water quenching for the steel pipe after heating is aimed at obtaining the required hardness and mechanical properties to strengthen the basic or steel pipe surface performance to meet the practical needs of steel pipe. After water quenching, in order to make the pipe performance stable and stress relief, we will usually add pipe tempering process in the production line.
At present, there are two common methods of steel pipe quenching: one is “rotating + outside shower + internal spraying” method, its main advantage is the production capacity is high and the pipe straightness is good, especially for thin-walled small diameter steel pipe; another method is using trough quenching, the main advantage is that the depth of hardened layer is high, especially for thick-walled large diameter steel pipe, the two methods generally take diameter 365.6mm diameter as a boundary.

The temperature after quenching: 890 ~ 910 ℃
The maximum temperature difference after quenching furnace: ≤ ± 5 ℃

Pipe temperature after quenching: <100 ℃
Pipe end straightness requirements after quenching: ≤ 3mm / 1000mm
Steel pipe straightness requirements after quenching: ≤ 105mm / 1000mm
Quenching water (water temperature ≤ 35 ℃)
Second, the composition of the equipment
The steel pipe quench and temper line is mainly composed of mechanical part, water system, induction heating system,hydraulic system, lubrication system, and the corresponding electrical control system.
The mechanical part is mainly composed of roller table, feeding device, rotating device, pressing device, discharging device,outer shower frame.
Heating the pipe to 900 degrees with induction heating furnace (the heating temperature and heating time of the steel pipe are closely related to the material of the steel pipe and the steel grade). The roller drive adopts the frequency conversion motor to meet the different production Rhythm and craftsmanship. The end of the roller drive will not set motor drive to prevent the damage the pipe end when the roller motor stop.
