1.induction heating surface quenching (I) Basic principle: placing the workpiece in an inductor wound by a hollow copper pipe, introducing an intermediate frequency or high-frequency alternating current, forming an induced current at the same frequency on the surface of the workpiece, rapidly heating the surface of the part (within a few seconds, and heating to 800-1000 degrees, After the heart part is still close to the room temperature), the water spray cooling (or oil immersion quenching) is carried out immediately, so that the surface layer of the workpiece is hardened. (II) Selection of heating frequency Common current frequencies are: 1. High-frequency heating:100-500KHZ, usually 200-300KHZ. It is a tube-type high-frequency heating. The hardened layer is 0.5-2.5 mm deep and is suitable for small and medium-sized parts.
2. Intermediate frequency heating: the current frequency is 500-10000HZ, commonly used for 2500-8000HZ, and the power supply equipment is a mechanical intermediate frequency heating device or a silicon controlled intermediate frequency generator. Depth of hardened layer ~ 10mm. And is suitable for shafts with larger diameters, large gears and the like. 3. Power frequency heating: the current frequency is 50HZ. The mechanical power frequency heating power supply device is adopted, the depth of the hardened layer can be up to 10 to 20 mm, and the surface quenching of the large-diameter workpiece is suitable.
