The Serbian client specializes in the production of alloy long bars, mechanical shafts and structural steel components for construction machinery and automotive supply chains. Before cooperation, the factory adopted traditional chamber furnaces for heat treatment. They were plagued by obvious pain points: slow heating speed, serious surface oxidation and decarburization, large hardness deviation along workpieces, high power consumption and low automation. Discontinuous production restricted output expansion, and unstable mechanical properties of finished bars affected the company’s competitiveness in the European market. According to the client’s production requirements, Forever’s engineering team optimized the whole line targeting local power grid conditions and processing specifications. The steel bar induction hardening and tempering furnace adopts mature digital IGBT medium-frequency power supply, matched with rotary roller conveying structure and segmented induction coils. Equipped with infrared closed-loop temperature measurement and PLC centralized control system, the equipment realizes automatic feeding, penetrating heating, precise spray quenching, constant-temperature tempering and automatic discharging in one continuous workflow. It effectively controls bar bending deformation, keeps hardness fluctuation within the standard range, and greatly reduces oxide scale loss.

Compared with the original heating mode, the induction heating machine cuts comprehensive energy consumption by over 30%. The whole line supports 24-hour stable continuous operation, reduces manual intervention, and lowers long-term operation and maintenance costs. During the commissioning phase, Forever’s overseas service engineers provided on-site technical guidance, operator training and process parameter optimization. All metallographic inspection and mechanical property tests of treated long bars fully meet EU industrial standards, winning high recognition from the Serbian customer.
