The original heat treatment process relied on old resistance furnaces, which caused large pipe deformation, inconsistent hardness and high energy loss. The customer planned to build a new continuous heat treatment line, requiring online hardening and tempering integration, small workpiece deformation and automatic parameter recording, to meet international petroleum pipe standards. Core Advantages of Pipe Induction Hardening and Tempering System

This set of pipe induction hardening and tempering system adopts Forever’s self-developed IGBT energy efficient induction power supply It integrates feeding, rotating conveying, induction quenching, spray cooling, tempering heating and discharging. The workpiece rotates evenly during operation, achieving circumferentially uniform heating. Closed-loop infrared temperature monitoring keeps temperature deviation within a tiny range, effectively controlling bending and deformation of long steel pipes.

Compared with conventional furnace heat treatment, induction heating only heats the required area of steel pipe. Energy consumption is reduced greatly, and surface oxidation and decarburization are significantly decreased. The whole line supports continuous long-hour running. All production parameters including temperature, moving speed and power are automatically stored, realizing full quality traceability, which satisfies strict inspection requirements of oil and gas pipe products. Modular design also facilitates later maintenance and spare parts replacement for overseas factories.

Project Implementation & On-Site Commissioning

The project went through technical drawing confirmation, factory pre-test, packaging and shipment. Before delivery, complete simulated production tests were carried out in Forever’s workshop to verify the heating curve and quenching effect. After equipment arrived at the overseas plant, Forever’s professional engineering team travelled to the site to guide installation, mechanical alignment, power debugging and operator training. Engineers adjusted heating parameters according to local pipe materials and production targets.
