The equipment carries out continuous induction heating, water quenching and low-temperature tempering on pipe bodies, building a hardened surface layer with a tough, ductile core that meets API-recommended performance levels. The whole line was tailored to the customer's pipe diameter range, wall thickness, steel grade and heat treatment capacity, enabling flexible production of multiple casing specifications on a single system. All stations are synchronized through a central PLC to keep the process stable under continuous heavy-duty operation.

IGBT Power Core Ensures Uniform Deep Hardening

At the heart of the equipment is a high-frequency induction power source developed by Forever Electromechanical, providing fast and efficient heating with precise power output. Multi-turn induction coils and a specialized internal cooling system guarantee consistent temperature along the full pipe length, avoiding soft spots, overheating or non-uniform case depth that commonly appear in fuel-fired treatment. Infrared temperature sensors monitor the pipe surface in real time and feed data into a closed-loop controller, which automatically adjusts power, conveying speed and quench flow to maintain a preset hardening temperature window. After quenching, the pipe passes into the tempering station where controlled heating releases internal stress and balances hardness with toughness, reducing the risk of brittle fracture during downhole service. The result is stable, repeatable quality across every pipe in the batch.

Fully Automated Line Reduces Labor and Elevates Safety

The equipment adopts automatic loading, conveying, heating and discharging structure, minimizing manual handling of hot, heavy pipes. Operators manage process recipes and production status through an intuitive touch-screen interface, while routine inspection covers wear of coils and rollers. Recipe storage supports quick switching between different casing sizes and steel grades, shortening changeover time for mixed production. Protection systems including over-temperature, water shortage, overload and emergency interlock shutdown safeguard the power unit, coils and conveying mechanisms during long shifts. The modular design simplifies installation inside the workshop and makes later maintenance and component replacement more convenient.

Induction heating is a clean, contact-free method that produces no flue gas or combustion waste, helping petroleum equipment manufacturers meet tightening environmental regulations.
