Forever Electromechanical Launches New Long Bar Induction Quenching and Tempering Machine, Empowering Green Intelligent Manufacturing of Global Long Metal Materials

Forever Electromechanical, a professional R&D and manufacturing enterprise of IGBT medium-frequency induction heating equipment with over 20 years of industrial technical accumulation, has officially completed the research, development and offline testing of its new-generation long bar induction quenching and tempering machine . This flagship continuous heat treatment production line targets the pain points of traditional long bar processing such as unstable hardness, high energy consumption, heavy oxidation and low automation, delivering standardized, energy-saving and fully customized heat treatment solutions for steel bar, hydraulic rod, sucker rod, construction machinery long shaft and high-strength alloy bar manufacturers worldwide.

With the rapid upgrading of global metallurgy, forging and engineering machinery industries, downstream manufacturers have raised stricter standards for the mechanical performance consistency and production cost control of long bar workpieces. Traditional chamber furnace heating relies on long-time overall heat preservation, featuring slow heating speed, large temperature difference along the bar, serious surface decarburization and oxidation, plus high no-load energy loss. Discrete single heating and tempering equipment also brings discontinuous production, frequent manual intervention and unstable product quality, which can no longer match the demand of modern mass intelligent production lines.

Relying on its independent core intelligent induction heating power supply technology, Forever Electromechanical’s R&D team carried out targeted structural and technological optimization for ultra-long bar workpieces with diameters ranging from 20mm to 120mm and maximum processing length up to 12 meters. The whole line adopts upgraded high-efficiency IGBT medium-frequency induction power modules, with quenching power covering 160–1000kW and tempering power 100–600kW. The thermal conversion efficiency of induction heating exceeds 92%, cutting comprehensive power consumption per ton of steel to 420–480kWh, nearly 35% lower than traditional resistance furnace heat treatment equipment.

The production line integrates automatic feeding, rotary uniform heating, segmented spray quenching, constant-temperature induction tempering, closed-cycle cooling and automatic blanking into one set of linked equipment. The V-shaped rotary roller conveying structure ensures uniform rotation of long bars during heating, effectively controlling axial and radial temperature difference within ±3℃, and the surface oxidation loss of workpieces is less than 0.5%. Equipped with imported infrared real-time temperature measuring sensors and Siemens PLC closed-loop intelligent control system, the equipment stores hundreds of sets of standard process parameters for carbon steel, alloy steel and structural steel. Operators can realize one-key startup, automatic parameter adjustment and full-process real-time monitoring without long-term on-site guarding, greatly reducing labor costs and human error risks.

In terms of environmental protection and stable operation, the machine is equipped with a closed waste heat recovery circulating cooling system, realizing zero discharge of cooling water and waste heat recycling for workshop auxiliary heating. The whole production process generates no flue gas, waste residue or open fire pollution, meeting global low-carbon manufacturing standards. Optimized anti-fatigue mechanical frame and intelligent fault self-diagnosis system support 24-hour uninterrupted continuous production, with an average annual failure rate reduced by over 60% compared with old-generation equipment, lowering later maintenance costs for customers.

At present, this long bar induction quenching and tempering machine has passed full-load hot commissioning and metallographic performance testing. Multiple customized production lines have been signed by metal processing manufacturers in Turkey, Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, and will be delivered and installed successively within this quarter.
