Basic Principles: Differentiated Heating Logic of Two Processes

Pipeline integral through-heating is a traditional thermal processing technology, which relies on medium and low frequency heating to conduct uniform heat penetration on the whole pipeline. The whole pipe body is heated synchronously from inside to outside to reach the quenching and tempering temperature, suitable for overall annealing and integral thermal forming of ordinary pipelines. Its core feature is overall uniform temperature rise, but it cannot achieve targeted heating of local areas.
In contrast, Forever Electromechanical’s local induction heating technology is based on the skin effect of electromagnetic induction. It adjusts the high-frequency current penetration depth, concentrates heat on the target parts such as pipeline welds, pipe ends and stress concentration areas, and completes fixed-point heating and quenching. The non-processing area of the pipeline remains at room temperature, realizing zero thermal impact on the base material, which is the core technical difference from integral through-heating.

Process Performance: Accuracy, Deformation and Energy Consumption Contrast

In terms of processing accuracy and product quality, integral through-heating will cause overall thermal expansion and contraction of the pipeline, prone to overall bending and diameter deviation, and long-term high-temperature heating will reduce the toughness of the pipeline base material and produce thick oxide scales. The local heating process accurately controls the heating range within 25-150mm, with an extremely small heat-affected zone. It only strengthens the hardness and wear resistance of the key stress parts, while retaining the original toughness and mechanical properties of the pipeline body, effectively improving the service life of high-pressure pipelines.

In terms of energy consumption and efficiency, the advantages of local induction heating are more prominent. Integral through-heating needs to heat the entire pipeline and supporting furnace body, with high invalid energy consumption and a single processing cycle of more than 30 minutes. Forever Electromechanical’s local heating heater adopts instantaneous electromagnetic heating, with a single processing time controlled within tens of seconds, and the energy consumption is only 1/5 of the traditional integral process. It eliminates the preheating and heat preservation links of the furnace body, greatly improving production efficiency.
